siruncle. it is usually the case that head gasket failure produces the beige mayonnaise gunk under the caps. the tdci oil coolers have been known to fail, this this sounds like a more likely cause. If it was the HG, you would probably be down on power and possibly getting a fair bit of white smoke out the exhaust.
