If your tactics aren't set up to handle it, it becomes dangerous for the mage. The best mage specialisation is Arcane Warrior, it's also THE best specialisation in the game period. There are dozens of videos proving you can solo on nightmare with a well built Arcane warrior. Arcane warrior can benefit from blood mage.
Ultimate Edition includes all the DLCs, not just Awakening. You want that version. It may be expensive right now. You can get it between $5-10 when it's on sale, which it probably will when Steam does its summer sale.
Dec 26, 2011. Dragon Age: Origins had the potential to be a far better game than it turned out to be. The story (though not groundbreaking) and art direction are worthy of praise, but BioWare's mistakes in quality assurance and marketing shred its score. Even this "Ultimate Edition" is riddled with bugs - and this is after four major patches.

Chris Nov 24, 2022 @ 11:39am. Do NOT buy Dragon Age Games on Steam. DA:O does NOT work. In fact nor does DA:I. Crashes constantly. Investigate this and you will find that the Steam version simply does not work and there are major issues with it. Stop selling games that require us to jump through hoops to fix them.
